The Blue Ridge Mountains Council is a branch of the Boy Scouts of America that includes more than 21 counties and 7 cities in southwest and south central Virginia. Our council headquarters are located in Roanoke, VA. We have over 14,000 boy scouts and venturers in our council.

What is Venturing?Venturing is a co-ed program within the Boy Scouts of America. The program is for males and females that are 14-20 (or 13 and out of the 8th grade). Venturing is a high adventure program, so it is different than normal scouting while keeping the same core values and skills. The VOA stands for Venturer's Officers Association.
The VOA plans district events and helps the area VOA with their events.
The VOA consists of a team of youth support by a team of advisors.
The VOA works with local crews to plan and create fun events!
